I didn't even know he died last year until I stumbled upon this.

I had the pleasure of buying two Conejo Valley Coin Club medals from his wife Peggy six or seven years ago. Very nice lady.

 

I'm not really sure what it is Longnine.... I was told it was something that John gave away as advertisement... That being said, I'm not fully sure if it was given away at a store, coin show or other. I'm not even sure if John gave them away personally, or someone that may have worked for/with him!

Still a neat item to have for the "error king"!

 

His passing was mentioned in the 2013 September/October issue of Errorscope...
