I know I should stop replying to these post's on this forum because it is impossible to explain anything to some folks . you are talking about the die stages on the obverse of these two different type error coins . There does not appear to be any difference in the wear of the die markers and the obverse of the coins is identical except the die clash of the bison has been removed by heavy polishing on the obv. of the det. leg coin. I'm not going to give out any info. about coin rolls and you other collectors can figure that one out by yourself.
Hey Rascal, I have both the "peeing bison" and "ultra detached leg" 2005 nickel. Do you know of a professional grading service who recognizes these being from the same die? I would like all the info you can provide me with about this. I am caught up in this fad and want to learn as much as I can about them. Thanks!
I actually wanted some answers and was hoping he was right. I have several sets of these coins and would love it if I could get them attributed by a TPG to be from the same die sets. ANACS pop. report only shows 5 of them being graded and I have 2 of them. O Well--- maybe one day I won't spend all my time reading crazy threads on these coin forums.
jbird01 these coins definitely came from the same set of dies obverse and reverse. if you have a few you probably know how scarce the peeing bison coin is. they are only found in the same rolls along with the ULTRA det. leg coins. I averaged finding only about two or sometimes three peeing bison coins to every 100 of the ULTRA det. leg coins. Even B.J. Neff agrees with me about these two different variety coins being struck from the same dies. some members thinks I'm a bad person because of my user name RASCAL , actually I try to treat everyone good that treats me halfway good and this name is only my little dog's name. click on this link and you can see one of my bison coins and my real name . http://maddieclashes.com/ADC-5c-2005-01.html
