So, what do you think of the new website? I just found it up & running, had to reset my password, and moved around with little problem. Checked on some orders and like the format that shows the status in the list of orders.
Anyone figure out how to cancel an order on the new site? The cancel box does not appear to be on the order page, like it was on the old site.
Here's the answer I just got from the mint's Support Chat. "You won't be able to cancel an order unless it is on some kind of hold. If it is processing, there is not a way to cancel. You would just have to return and reorder." Actually, you can't cancel the order if it's on hold either, I tried.
LOL I placed a small order just to see how it all works. Guess I'm stuck with it? I'm already not liking this new site.
I sent the support group an email asking about why they dropped the discount for the subscription model and got a nice form-letter response in return.
WOW! I just called the mint and after being on hold for half an hour, I was told that I cannot even cancel the order on the phone. I have to pay for it and return it. I’ve been looking for a reason to stop buying all this crap from the mint, I think this did it for me.
Let’s face it, the U.S. Mint is the most abusive “business” I’ve ever dealt with. This new website is a way for them to implement even more abusive policies.

I had a credit card saved on the old site. Now it shows that I don't have any cards saved? Anyone else have to reenter their credit card? Also my old orders don't show anymore either.
I found that the old site had my order history going back to December 2000 while the new site only has history going back to January 2008. I guess they "decided" that I no longer needed this information? Whatever. I did respond Yes to doing the customer satisfaction survey which opened up the ForSee Window telling me that the survey would be launched once my browser session ended. I really wanted to provide information feedback for the survey. Well, when I clicked to see my entire Order History, the Survey Launched. I like to try and be fair in evaluating this stuff but I have to admit that I'm just not really impressed. I can understand the need for some businesses to incorporate Mobil Phone based code for a public online web pages where purchases are made. But I do not care for the web page when that code gets in the way of the PC Based application. I do not USE my Iphone for any application which would reveal personal information about me. Especially if I am on "the Net". This is because I have no idea how to secure my Iphone's "broadcasts". Heck, I barely know how to delete an application on my Iphone. So, Iphone, online purchases, are just out of the question because, despite their best efforts, Apple has NOT been able to secure the Cloud. I see that the "trust" folks inadvertently put into their smart phones...........can easily be exploited. Its only a question of time.
Well, I had to search a bit but I found the "New Products" Page since I could not find the Kennedy 4 Coin Silver Set anywhere. At any rate, since they obviously "lost" my password (had to reset it at logon time) and since they obviously have lost the stored credit card information, I thought I'd click on the "Remind Me" button for the 4 Coin Silver Set. This window popped up: No prompt on what to do, just a SUBSCRIBE Window with a flashing cursor? When you click SUBSCRIBE, then you get the prompt. Not pleased since I AM logged in AND they already KNOW my email address! This is starting to look just a wee bit shoddy.
What this "means" is that folks that have standing "subscriptions" will NOT receive their subscriptions in a timely manner until they update that payment information.
I don't have any subscriptions but there are times I like to use the quick checkout and you need a card on file for that. So I reentered my card, put a baseball half in the bag and tried to check out and then nothing, couldn't check out. Apparently there's still some work to be done.
Anyone find the "No Longer Available" page? It used to be a link under the Product Schedule, but I can't find it.
Totally (P) issed. Can't reset my account. Asks for the city of my birth. I enter it and........nothing. Wrong. What the hey?
