No need to hope. Just look at the numbers. 62000 to start, and only a few thereafter. Personally I think the problem is going to be more were ordered then net consumers exist in the hope and belief of flipping. Now people trying to flip are dumping them and now you can buy some on ebay at less then issue price. Too much supply not enough demand.
The article I read said the mint will produce them through Dec 2014, but they may be on sale long after that.
They probably will never mint another one of these. They already have more than enough minted. The big question is will they sell all the ones minted, or just melt them down.
It interesting to look at where the prices are now. For example there are some standard 70's have dropped under $1300. Yet some of the label coins are still showing a premium even now. Some quite large. I sincerely thought that the label coins would have dropped to non label levels but they clearly still have an elevated market value. Any guesses as to how long this lasts?
Watching this coins release has been educational for me: Seeing how short the "flip" cycle has been. I'll be curious to see how far the "label" coins drop in the coming months. I wonder if the Silver set will have a similar ride.
