Ill be gone for the weekend to enjoy my other hobby, comic books at a local con. So I wanted to post a coin. For some reason, the Vesta Lucilla was a curse for me. 2 I bought from Lanz that went "missing" in NY customs, my last one I got had a ragged flan but good details, it went towards the trade of the Galba tet. Only reason was because I got this one. Finally a cursed free Vesta reverse and best of all, nearly EF condition. So this made me very happy when it arrived. Lucilla ( 164 - 183 A.D.) AR Denarius O: LVCILLAE AVG ANTONINI AVG F, draped bust right. R: VESTA, Vesta standing left, sacrificing from a simpulum over a lit altar left, holding palladium. Rome, 164 – 167 A.D. 18mm 3.3g RIC 788, RSC 92, BMC 325
Very nice, especially since it is curse free. I have a new coin I may need your help IDing, since it has a female figure on the obverse, but I will wait till next week. Good luck at the comic-con.
A very sharp denarius! Have a great weekend, Mat - I love going to shows. Can't wait till the next one, which I think is Baltimore sometime around Halloween. The representation of the simpulum on that coin is very nice.
Nice Lucilla ... it's good to see you huntin' the ladies once again!! (cheers) => oh, and have fun at the Archie show!!
Im looking to get a few action figures, just released, not comics. Im done buying what I can afford comic wise, lol.
Ummmm, how many dudes went and looked-up Vampirella action-figures? ... *kinda makes me want to collect*
