A couple of random Word Silver coins bought in a small lot. I'll also be making a separate post with the Swedes I have picked up lately.

1 Shilling from New Zealand, 1935. 5.65 grams .500 silver. The 1935 is a slightly scarce year.

    1 Franc from Switzerland, 1945. 5.00 grams .835 silver.

I got both of these and a decent 1936S dime. What do you think...should I get them graded? : ) <joke>

not worth getting graded. the cost of the grading is more than coins are worth.

I like many of the older New Zealand types. Here's a florin that I got for its spot value. It was completely gunked up with slime and PVC goo, so I gave it an acetone treatment. This is how I collect "junk" silver...

This was a coin I just happened to see for sale on eBay and picked up because I'd never seen it before. I spend a lot of time looking through dealers' junk bins and looking at the cheaper eBay auctions and I've never seen one of these before. You'd think from this time period they'd be fairly common, but apparently not. 1934 Austria 1 schilling.
