Here's a recent composite, basically aping AJ (again) but with relative sizes approximated. A few of my nicer coins are missing and a few shown here need photoshop touchups of the cut-out. The Corinth stater looks like it has black sharpie marker on the edges o_O

You showed some fabulous "trays" wow! I have to ask what do you do when you come home from work and there is a large envelop from a very distant place with a MASSIVE coin in it?

    Burma,
The States of Pyu, The City of Srikshetra
AR Full Unit (96 Ratti) s. 632-835 AD
    35 mm x 9.53 g
obverse: Bhadrapitha Symbol. A Drum tied in the center with diadems.
reverse: Srivatsa symbol (the Temple of Sri, fertility goddess) with sun and moon above, conch shell on the right and thunderbolt to the left.

This is what you do... PYUScale.jpg

The next step after a pile like this is to trim and overlap the edges so you can specify it as a tile format desktop background (select the middle option where tiles are repeated). On my desktop, this tile repeats three times each way. I faded it out so the regular desktop icons would not get so lost in the jumble. The small image is what I use to make the desktop as shown in the screen capture.

Actually, my next step was to print my coins on fabric and wear my collection to the WFOM :D The jacket had a carefully "random" layout which allowed for a nearly invisible repeat.

Fate (Wild Tangent) is my game. In fact, I liked it so much I learned both the code and the modeling software it used to mod my own games.

TIF ... ummm, is that actually your clothing? (I don't see enough flying pigs, so I'm calling your bluff)

=> however, if it is actually your clothing, then I kinda agree with JA (it is kinda hot, in an ancient-coin-collecting kinda way ... ummm, but I certainly don't wanna see Bing sporting the print in a sports-jacket, but I have to admit that the skirt is kinda cool)

Yep... my coins, my clothing. There's an online site which prints your photos/designs to fabric yardage. I uploaded the collages, had fabric printed, and sewed up some casual coingeek outfits. There are at least two different Pigasus coins on the jacket, the Samos drachm and one of the Klazomenai diobols. :D Click the link, go to the photo of the uncut fabric, and click to enlarge.

    Huh ... very cool

Ummm, I must admit that it's a bit confusing thinking of coins and sexy-hot-fashion in the same visual (but if anyone could, I'm sure that you looked ultra slinky in that sporty motif) ...

... man, sadly I now have a visual of Doug in a thread-bare Sep-Sev bath robe!! (arrrggghhh)
