Not as much as you might think. This one currently list at NGC for $215 and recent auction records for NGC graded examples have been running right at $100. I paid $105 for this example this past week.
I bought this 1996 eagle at a pawn shop, probably not the best place to by a coin, but I still really like it. Also, what are the red spot around the rims, toning or burn mark?
Thanks. Most of them I find on eBay and some I've purchased from different dealers, Angel Dees, Penny Lady, and Quality Rare coins (sells on EBay). Great Toning on eBay has has toners fairly regularly too. This coin was purchased from eBay and I was lucky to get it (right place, right time) I'm sure it would not have lasted long.
So not new coins, but photographed with a nice camera instead of my iphone. 1806/5 Half Dollar NGC VF20(undergraded I believe) Bought this raw at a show and sent it in to NGC, my first submission! This one will be in my collection for a long time. Next is an 1812 Bust Half, grade AU50 by NGC Sticking with the Bust Halfs... how about an 1819, incredible luster! AU53 NGC My favorite of the Capped Busts I picked up, 1826 AU58 NGC, love the rim toning on this coin. Lastly I have my 1902-S $5 Half Eagle, MS63 by NGC. Warning, I can't photograph gold.
