(Mods - please move to Advertising if that's where this is better suited) Howdy fellow CoinTalker's! As some of you may know, I write iOS apps for coins. For my latest app, I wanted to provide something very practical, elegant and social. SlabReader allows you to scan PCGS, ICG or SEGS slabbed coins and displays information about the coin in a beautiful and easy to read layout. ANACS may be included later, but their database didn't always respond with complete info. NGC refuses to allow any third party access to their graded coin data. They also already have an iOS app. ADDITIONAL FEATURES • Tweet the coins you scan to your friends! • An interactive History page allows you to view previously scanned coins without having to re-scan • Zoom or save TrueViews by tapping them SlabReader is available Friday and I hope some of you will enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
The only bad thing that prevents this from being perfect is the ngc issue. But I love it and will definitely use this app. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Or of course you could just make up your own minds about what's on offer and use the money you saved not buying gadgets to buy coins you happen to like. Preferably not entombed in plasic.
Of course, if you took that approach, you probably wouldn't click on threads with titles like "SlabReader ~ New iPhone app available Friday", much less reply to them. Right?
Hmmm, won't work on my Droid Ultra, my Samsung tablet, or my son's Kindle, but it will work on my wife's phone, too bad she doesn't collect coins [emoji53] . Any plans on porting it to\developing it on Android?
Jeremy, that's a great app and "the only thing that prevents it from being perfect" are the fancy colors but I can live with them LOL
Howdy fellow CoinTalker's! As some of you may know, I write iOS apps for coins I don't have a idea where to find this, nor do I know what a iSO app is. I would like to try it Can someone please help I have IPhone 4s Thanks
Hi dwhiz, On your iPhone, you will have an App Store app. It looks like this: Open it, and on the bottom of the screen there is a Search button. Search for SlabReader.
