I found this while metal detecting yesterday. Since it isn't super valuable, how can I clean it?

A distilled water bath won't hurt it.:)

Dip in acetone for about 15 minutes and than air dry.

I hate to admit it, but I shine up junk silver by rubbing it with toothpaste and warm water till it shines right up lol

*disclaimer* this is NOT an acceptable coin conservation method and you will erase any numismatic I.e. collectable value of coins by doing this!*

That is all bad. Don't do that just use acetone. It will not damage your coin and is a proven conservation method.
