That's a start, I guess, but the point is that X + Y does not automatically equal Z, so your claim that selling $1000+ coins on amazon is "better" than eBay is highly, highly questionable.

There simply is no other venue that can presently offer what eBay can, especially to the new and/or inexperienced wishing to sell online and regardless of costs. I assume there is good reason you're promoting Amazon as a superior sales venue, but the sooner you accept the benefits of eBay, like it or not, the better off you'll be.

No, I don't have a good reason at all. I just looked into it and thought it would make for a good discussion and it has.

I think lousy is overstating it a bit. :) It would simply make it work more like live auctions. If nobody else is bidding, then it works like it does today. If someone else is interested, then the bidding continues until only one person is left.

Someone who lists auctions that end at midnight would get fewer bids. People would probably spend more time thinking about when their auctions start (and therefore when they end).

For sellers, extra time could mean extra money. ;)

Sorry, you haven't convinced me. "One chance" to bid large, probably means even more money to the Seller. I won't bid in any auction that extends.

I'm fairly certain that this statement exemplifies why people say you're like Detecto.

Yeah, click on Opie's "Etsy" store and oopsie - it disappeared. Well that lasted a whole long time. Well I guess a couple of months is ages in his existence.

Uni-dimensional and unable to accept opinions other than your own? Sounds about right.
