Hello hello, fellow CoinTalkers! I'm back from Long Beach, and while I'm still working on my Coin Show Chronicles, I thought I would share something new that I experimented with at the show. I was looking for a way to get more "Coin Porn" into our lives, and every dealer who sets up at the show has something cool in their cases, right? I wandered up and down the aisles the end of Friday asking friends and acquaintances to show me their most interesting coin. Take a look at these Show Stoppers, and let me know what you think!
I absolutely couldn't believe the original paper box had survived all the way to 2014 with minimal damage.
I will definitely be on the lookout for ancients in the future! A little bit of everything is what I was going for.
One of these days... I'll get a chance to attend a major coin show south of the border. Fantastic coins!!
I like the unique subject of your presentation Amanda. Highlighting special coins, paper, or exonumia is different and interesting. Thanks! Bruce
Great as usual , though one nit pick . I almost didn't look at the 1797 Gold piece as it was dated as I think 1879 . Other than that 2 thumbs up .
No problem , it's always easier to pick out others mistakes , sure glad I looked as I love those 18th century gold pieces . Wish I had one but I like my house .
Nice idea Amanda. And yes, that wood medal is totally way cool. I'd love to own one like it in that kind of condition. I wonder if there is something you can do to preserve the condition of something like that and not hurt the value.
See you in Vegas. I'll stop by and introduce myself...and my wife since she will be with me. I am ready to get on that plane!!
Amanda , I hope you keep this up as It's great to see the best coins at a show for us that didn't go .
