How bout we all try to drink one beer for each year of ct! I know I'm good for a 12 pack every time! I like the strippers idea too! We should also have a celebratory bonfire too! Burn all the slab remains from cracking them out?
one 12th anniversary CT shirt give-away, each month. Signed by Peter and Doug. Limited edition of twelve. It will be a future CoinTalk collectible in and of itself
Noooooooooooooo! (for only $4.95 shipping and handling! But if you act *now*, we'll throw in a FREE Chia-head of Peter or Doug!)
In one sitting? You've got me beat. Two tall cans, maybe three if I'm feeling extra festive. That's it. Add a shot of hard stuff to enhance the experience and Bob's your uncle.
I toned it way down a few years back. It used to be an 18 pack or a fifth of vodka every night 7 days a week now it's usually 2 or 3 beers
@Peter T Davis this is possible click here interesting enough the company is just as old as cointalk.
I'm not sure how much it would cost per coin. You have to create the design first. I'd buy one for myself and perhaps a few more to giveaway through a random drawing of some sort. When is the exact date that you launched cointalk?
I'm sure they will have a minimum order. I know the company we use for our tokens is 500 pieces. I highly doubt you'll be able to order 5 or 10 coins.
Song's Coins out of South Korea is a challenge coin manufacturer, minimum order is 50 pieces for about $280 - $300 if I remember correctly.
I nominate Detecto as a subject for a commemorative medallion. He adds much recreational levity on this forum.
Even challenge coins cost $200 to create a pair of dies, then you would need to place a minimal order, as Dutchie noted. It's possibly the least viable solution, but if you want to make some unofficial coin talk medallions, I figure Peter might be willing to allow it... as long as you gave him a few (dozen). Edit: BTW if you want a smaller coin (not challenge sized), the dies would cost more, possibly 10x the cost. Just something to consider. Edit #2: Here's an entire page on costs incorporated into minting medallions. http://www.bluewatersmint.com/mintingacoin.htm
