    No, just a mint worker with a rag in his back pocket who used it to wipe dirt, debris, grease, etc off a die in use, and in the process scratching the heck out of the die.

    I was purchasing another coin, there was still room in the envelope at the same shipping rate, I grabbed an inexpensive quarter with a date and mint mark that I did not have.

    In 2007 Conder101 still did not have one of these. I saw his comments about the PVC content in the UNC slab plastic. I hope what I have on the surface is toning, not PVC damage. The coin is rather attractive in hand.

    guessed #5. That or #1 seemed the best of the bunch. I do see field issues at 10 o'clock on the #5 and some contact marks on the neck of #1.
