Cleaned by wiping and showing fine hairlines, but at under $300 I would grab it all day long

I'd say gVF, not quite XF. But yes market values are much higher for these coins than Krause shows.

ok. I know some high grade Belgium coins go for way higher than Krause too.

Yea, a lot of the older Belgian silver coins are very tough to find in grades above XF

Any particular reason they are your favorites? Just curious :)

because of a Lion and what looks like the 10 commandments in stone design. lol the 1,2, 5, 10 denomination. I still need a MS 10 centimes denomination upgrade. I see a couple AU-58 on Ebay now but I do NOT have $350-400 right now. here's my gorgeous 1837 5 centimes...

this is my favorite world coin so far... and I have 2-3 other coins from different countries that are more valuable. I bought this 1 on Ebay for $200. It was a bidding war but I simply had to have it because you do not see these in MS-64 RB ever. super happy with it. 1 time 12 years ago I saw (2) 10 centimes denomination in MS-65 Red going for $600 each on Ebay....they were super amazing, but I did NOT have $600 to spare. I would have sold half of my coin collection to get 1 of those now.

I also want to get the 1, 5 ,10 francs in silver from Belgium. they have a beautiful reverse with curtains with a eagle in the center. these can wait awhile. :blackalien:

I just picked up one of these, a nice 2 cent piece. Just won it last night on ebay and I can't wait to get it. Mine is a 1905 though. But I agree, they are beautiful looking coins for sure.

Those coins are quite affordable if you are willing to settle for lightly circulated examples, though you're gonna have a tough time with a 10 francs. Those are mostly gold patterns.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up! I will indeed.

By the way, you've got yourself one beautiful Norwegian coin. I'm definitely putting one of those on my need to get list.
