Here is someone who was #2 on my list. I acquired this fellow a few weeks prior to Otho at basically a stolen price. For anyone who doesnt know, he was one of the roman empires biggest headaches for decades, even capturing emperor, Valarian I. Only roman emperor to be captured. Whether he used Valerian as a footstool is doubtful but a fun story thats gone through history. Sasanian Kingdom, Shapur I (241-272 A.D.) AR drachm O: Bust of Shapur I right, wearing diadem and decorated tiara terminating in eagle head. R: Fire altar flanked by two attendants wearing diadems and mural crowns. 4.33g Göbl type I/1
Finally found a slightly toned 1966 SMS Jefferson to round out my colorful 1966 SMS Set. For some reason the Jefferson was a real stumbling block for me, 1966 Jefferson's just don't acquire color for some reason. PCGS SP66
Just got the grade and photo back (on this raw 1965 SMS Lincoln) from PCGS yesterday. It graded SP66RB. Phil did a nice job on the photo.
Good pick Paul , not to many folks like Roosevelt silver Proof dime. One of the most overlooked coin since 1946.
