I have had offers from .99 cents to $500.00. I also had a offer, he asked what documentation I had that it was legit. I told him it was a joke, and he responded "oh, funny", then retracted his bid. I have had lots of offers, but I wouldn't let it go for less than four figures.
I don't know why anyone would buy that pen when they can order it direct from the mint er I mean "supplier" for $0.25. People these days.
If you do sell it, I can sell facsmiles of my autograph as the man who first copied the post of the man who sold the pen that could have been used to fill out the submission forms for the first JFK gold. And it's now documented.
If haven't heard the name Dominion since I read the announcement about them starting up about a million yaears ago.
About 5 or 6 years ago, NBC News had a short story on an eBay auction. It was a corn flake shaped like the head of the Virgin Mary. (Only when viewed from a specific angle.) It allegedly sold to a private individual for $3500. It had close to 50 bids. It makes you want to go out and buy a box of breakfast cereal. If you don't find anything, all you need is milk.
I'd never pay that kind of money for a raw pen. I'd bet there's a big scratch on the reverse. Notice that dwhiz above at least included photographs of both sides of his pen. That's the kind of thing one appreciates from a dealer Get the PCGS pen slabbed and maybe then we'll talk.
