How you manage to confuse Greek with Russian is beyond me.

    Thanks.

0.322 oz of silver. In this condition, is it worth any more than melt?

In his defense, Russia is famous for the double eagle. As are about nine other countries.

Agree, the double headed eagle often leads people to think Russia but it's even been used on an Italian coin (Venice 1802 1 1/2 Lire)

And I only glanced at the writing, witch, in my defense, also looks russian, at a glance.

Seems to go for melt or a $1 or $2 above on ebay

Valid, but not exactly helpful for someone who doesn't know what it is. This poor fellow could've spent hours searching Russian coins trying to find it!

But there were no coins from Russia in 1964 (when that coin was issued). And the USSR used a different emblem then ...

Also see here - and if you continue reading that topic, you will also learn why the woman was also depicted on a Danish coin. :)

Queen of Greece Anne-Marie was the Danish princess before her wedding. This is a Danish coin with her portrait.

While looking for a photo of the Greek 30 Drachma, I found this photo. This coin was found in a bargain box in Greece in 2010. The toning was interesting IMO & worth the very small premium paid.
