Agree, the double headed eagle often leads people to think Russia but it's even been used on an Italian coin (Venice 1802 1 1/2 Lire)
Valid, but not exactly helpful for someone who doesn't know what it is. This poor fellow could've spent hours searching Russian coins trying to find it!

While looking for a photo of the Greek 30 Drachma, I found this photo. This coin was found in a bargain box in Greece in 2010. The toning was interesting IMO & worth the very small premium paid.
