    So... do you have a question or something? all you did was post a picture. We figured you wanted to know the condition of the coin. Anything else? perhaps value?

    1) Greed
    2) Knowing that many people buying don't know what they are seeing.

    Before we get too carried away about what happened to the coin please keep in mind that this is actually a fairly common date in AU. It is only in MS grades that it is prohibitively scarce and expensive. Quite a few of these coins were treated similarly with the hope of making them look "BU" and to sell them for more money.
