Well, the Kennedy's turned out to be a success. Made about 4K(with expenses taken out) for standing in line 2 days, 12 hours each. Easy money if you ask me! We arrived at the airport on monday night and we went right over to just check things out. Try to see where to go and what to do in the morning. A bus pulled up while we were checking things out at the entrance, and we joked, "they are probably getting in line for the Kennedy's already!" We thought, we will head back to the hotel room and catch a few Z's before we check in again at about 2 AM. Turned out those people were actually standing in line for the coin. I was number 170 when I got in line. The next night was even more chaotic with no one being allowed on the convention center property until "6 AM." After a few hundred people were lined up across the street, the police realized what a safety hazard this was. They then moved us(in a mad stampede) across the street to line up. The third day we though, "lets take the night off and get back in line tomorrow," so thats what we did. It turned out that they would then discontinue the sales for friday and saturday due to safety issues. Added a few pictured of the line that was at most times over 700 deep.
Couldn't even tell you. Whoever paid the most cash as soon as we got the coins, we sold them to. It wasn't even worth sending them in. Unlike most people, who got there cash and left, I actually ended up spending most of my profits on the floor. Picked up a nice 1884 S Morgan in an NGC 58 holder. Undergraded in my opinion and will be sent in this week!
