Well done Charmy! It was a beautiful
    and unique exhibit.

The Admiral Byrd and Henry Ford coins,
    are they test pieces?

Again, congratulations on your well earned
    victory!

This would have been a cool coin for the display.

I thought you might like to see the Admiral Byrd cent in its original holder..

The Admiral Byrd penny is a capped penny where they printed it on a sheet of copper and molded it over the penny. The Henry Ford piece is simply a marketing token created by the Ford Motor Company.

Thanks again everyone! I am still quite overwhelmed about the response to my exhibit, I seriously had no idea my Penny Potpourri exhibit would be that appealing to so many. I have been asked to exhibit it at other shows, which I am considering doing, with a few new pieces and expanding it to 6 cases so it won't look too crowded. My next big show is the Long Beach show the end of September, so if you make it to that show, perhaps you'll see my exhibit there!

    Have you ever considered writing
    an article about your collection
for TAMs? Good luck at Long Beach.

Actually, I've been asked to write an article for the Numismatist about how all this came about for me. It definitely was not planned out and things just sort of fell into place, one by one.

Well I hope you do write it. It's
    refreshing to see something that
    really is different. :)

Hey I met you outside on Thursday while I was having a cigarette around 6:30ish? Sorry I was chatty, a few too many at Gisbons :)

I was the one who said I have some crappy nickels and no idea why I buy them!

Great report. I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about Kennedys.

I think it was my 4 year old and 7 month old this time (lack of sleep). Whoops :)

There weren't any Kennedys (or at least the gold ones) there in 2013. I have not yet seen this years report.
