You must not have read what my question was about. Someone congratulated someone for their order being canceled by the mint. So no, he can not sell his coin to someone... because it was canceled.
I sent my two golds off as they are 70's I'm pretty sure, choose a couple of the cool autographed Lou Brock Labels. Also sent in two silver proofs that looked perfect so we'll see. Cost me almost $150 for 4 coins so only time will tell if this was a good plan.
I ordered one each of the non gold coins. Each was shipped in a separate box at a different time. I have to wonder how much the mint could have saved. I would have been happy if they waited and sent them all at the same time. I understand that others may not have been happy doing that.
That's not bad compared to the upcharge the big-boys are charging. But then again, most here would say to collect the coin, not the label.
I'm a STL Cardinals fan through and through. When the opportunity was there I took it well at least I hope I got it lol.
You are right sir. Just got a phone call from PCGS stating basically just that. Looks like I am getting the HOF labels hopefully they are all 70s
Am I understanding you correctly? You can't get the autograph labels? Sorry about that... Was thinking strongly about getting that for mine...
2 more of my silver Proofs are now "In stock and reserved" with the cancel boxes gone. Last order still backordered - date showing is 8/15...
That's awesome plus these were minted awesomely out of the 4 golds and dozens of proof most look to be perfect at least to this novice.
Opened a few of the ones I received this week. 3 out of the 4 were obviously returns. Two of them had black smudges on them.
My 100 HOF silvers proofs shipped today! That's over four months of wait time. I probably won't ope my box but they're probably all the beat up returns from prior orders. Haha.
I just got all mine to and to be honest I don't think they are returns all the proofs I looked at were 70s and I opened maybe 10 of the ones I bought.
I just received my final HoF coin today (silver proof). I ordered an unc. and proof in clad and silver. All of them looked great except the silver proof I received today. The reverse has two blemishes on it. There is one right above the O and N in one and to another blemish to the 1 o'clock above the E in one. I've never sent anything back to the mint, and I'm not sure if I should. I'm not looking to get a perfect 70, but these just seem quite distracting to me. They are much more distracting than in the pictures. I know I'm the only one who can make the decision, but what do you guys think? Would you send it back?
