Nah! That line was specifically for the Kennedy Tickets. Not entrance into the show from what I am reading.

Additionally, there were lines outside of the Philadelphia Mint, the Denver Mint, and probably the Washington DC Store.

I'm not interested in Kennedys, and I cancelled my plans to go to the show this year. I dont want to mess around with these huge crowds and wait in line. I'm just turned off by the whole thing.

You saied you were 50 back, how long was the line BEHIND you?

Wait a minute, at least two registers and it took over 5 hours to sell 500 coins? Well I guess that would be fifty coins per hour per register about one sale per minute.

One register crashed mid-way through. They eventually shut down the clas register and made it only gold too. I wanted clad, but only gold purchases were allowed.

Late to the party & didn't read all the posts, but yeah they were bussing people in, getting them dealer badges for early entry & having them stand in line. I know two outfits that had 100+ people each.

    wow.

Why do I have a feeling this "sleeper" coin has become one of the most popular issues the mint has issues in 10 years+, and will have luke warm secondary market once all this hype dies down.

Let me see. The gravy's flowing. The dealers are right there with their kissers under the faucet. Now there's a coincidence! :D

What is the going rate for that coin in that grade? I might be regretting selling raw for 3k.

Aw, get with the program. Ask not what the U.S. Mint can do for you, but what you can do for the U.S. Mint. :)

5-6 thousand. This coin will be the most significant U.S. coin ever.

Out of everything, the coin design has the least to do with it being significant. I think the label will determine the selling price, regardless of the coin. Second will be its intrinsic value. Just deduct gold's spot and you have the labels cost. Then comes the Kennedy coin.

Are they really high relief ? As they look like normal Kennedy's to me .

Thank you, Mint, for making the big dealers even happier with 1000 fewer coins to get the special ANA label. Those dealers should kiss the mint directors arse from now until the end of the century!

This coin will be the most hyped, most temporally highly priced and biggest money losing investment ever.

As Vegas Vic said, it will be like the HOF coins only worse.

As for why the sales were cancelled, I can tell you the story circulating the floor but I haven't had a chance to fact-check it, and I know I'm responding really late again to begin with. Who knows if what's circulating here is true or not.
