Kennedy Gold Ordering Thread

I wanted to start this thread so we can discuss ordering of our Kennedy gold pieces... Sharing order numbers (not the whole thing... Just the first few digits). And discussing our experiences.

Got in the "waiting room" line at 11:44:44 and at 12 noon it re-opened the site and told me my wait would be 33 minutes... Sheesh!

We'll see if I get into the site before 12:33pm...

*update 12:05pm - wait time 44 min

 

BTW, do I need to cancel the stupid mint bag on this order like I did after my first order of the HOF coins? Learned my lesson there....

 

33 minutes turned into over an hour for me. Looks like its bouncing around the 1 hour mark.

 

Just ordered one for myself. Order number beginning with 437. I had three computers open. Two of them got locked out last second with an added hour and 22 min of waiting time but my laptop pulled through

 

Went from 16 minutes to 11 minutes to 19 minutes. Checked on my phone and wait time was over 2 hours...

 

I hopped on from my phone within a second or two of the waiting room opening; when I got home, I hopped on from two other machines (two browsers on one of them).

The phone is currently showing a wait time of 1:24. The second window I opened (on a Mac) started at 30 min, dropped to 20, and now is up to 33 (ok, just dropped to 32). The other two windows are showing 1:36 and 1:57.

So, I'm guessing you don't get a "position" in the waiting room -- my second machine got into the waiting room 5 min later, and is well ahead in the queue.

Edit: 28 minutes now. That window is in an older version of Safari; I really hope that the checkout process doesn't decide it's an "obsolete browser".

 

Order # 437036XX, placed at 12:06. Backordered.
Available to ship today. Right.

Like shipping dates, my waiting time was up and down all over the clock.


Am I the first on CT to get my order in?

 

Glad to hear someone already has a coin ordered....and they're not one of the "Big Boys"...

Currently at 33 min for me...so targeting around 12:45 or so....

I am a big boy, but not in the coin business.

 

The mint product shipping center is just across town from me. Usually I get stuff in 1 day after they ship it.

 

Sure would love to see what their throughput is right now -- orders per minute, number of customers "in flight" (in the ordering process), and of course number of coins per order.

 

hour and 4 here... how many are you guys ordering? I'm going to try for 5.

 

Well, I got in close to the originally predicted 33 min. 12:35pm. Order # 43708xxx. Says "backordered". Only ordered 1 here. Not looking to flip it. Just need one for my Kennedy set.

Based on order #'s it looks like they completed at least 5000 orders in the first 30 min of sales. How many coins did each person order? Could be anywhere from 5k-25k coins sold....

...but after adjusting quantity in my cart, it's prompted me for my username and password again, and NOW it's just sitting there. Guess I've hit the actual bottleneck in their process.

...Okay, that only took a minute or so.

No CVV field? That's a little concerning. I guess it's between the USG and MC.

...and we're done, right around 12:33. Order number 437...

...and Availability just says "Backordered", with no mention of a date!

I'm trying to get to my "Account" page to see what it says about order status, but it looks like that server's overloaded. I've "left the waiting room" on my other three sessions, so everybody behind me gets to move up a space or three.
