=> thanks jello (yah, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is always a winner) ... unfortunately, I change my avatar so often that I'm sure it'll be something different by the time you read this post ...

1941 Canada Fifty Cent, needed an upgrade;), turns out to be a wide date variety which was a bonus

Thanks Angelo, it actually looks a bit better in hand then photos due to the marks on the face; Think it's pretty close grade-wise based on my other ICCS graded coins (most of my Canadian graded); I've a few PCGS & NGC that I thought were a bit 'easy' with the grades on the Canadian though most are pretty good/close in MS (not so in circulated, they're almost always overgraded imo).
Also have a handful of CCCS graded (they're out of Quebec) and were really happy with them in hand, they were conservative in their grades, which I always like.

well I went ahead and got this Canadian 1961 PL half. I love the toning on it. Bought it off Ebay for $55.00 probably a little high but I wanted it anyhow. They had it at $72 or best offer. doing the happy coin dance now. lol
