I am sorry, but I fail to see the similarities between a woody and a cleaned coin. Most cleaned coins have a more uniform color rather than bold stripes. Coins that have been whizzed may have fine lines, but they are textured lines (indented) while woodies have color line that are usually flat although some woodies can be so poorly mixed that they start to laminate. And all true woodies have parallel lines (both sides usually) while parallel lines from cleaning across an entire coin are rare. If it is a two sided woody, both sides have lines absolutely in the same direction.
Just so you know...the only US circulation coins that feature a Native American is the Buffalo Nickel and the Sacajawea Dollar. The rest all have Liberty (who happens to be depicted as of European decent) dressed in a Native American headdress.
Yes I know that. I suppose I should have chosen my words more carefully. I meant any series of coinage that has some form of native american culture on them. That would include ihc, quarter eagles, buffalo nickels, gold buffalos, and sacajewea/native american dollars.
Yes...you're right. I forgot about those. I was only thinking about the Indian Eagle. I think after 2 weeks with a newborn I'm a little sleep deprived and my brain is slightly fuzzy.
The obverse looked kind of funny to be from the start. Especially next to Liberty's nose/eye. That's why I was on the fence. I think the reverse looks really nice but the obverse made me worried.
This is a rant if I ever saw one. I'll apologize in advance, comrades, but (1) I'll buy these technical MS65s all day long at that price, and (2) the only thing that needs to be altered is that holder, as in, chain saw, as in, free that baby out of there. If this isn't the tail wagging the dog, I don't know what is. No grade? Unbelievable. We'll call it a short rant. I'm tired of this, anyway. They flipped their lids. I'm convinced of it. Tell me they know what they're doing. Not one person, here, said it. Are we that stupid? Really? OK, I'm not finished. Do you know what their problem is? They have nothing better to do. They sit there and stare at coins. That's it. That's all they do. That's their whole accomplishment in life. And please don't tell me I'm envious. These graders are brain-dead. Who's envious of that? Still not finished. Need to leave you all with one more thing you can snip out of context and pummel me with. I didn't give you all enough. We are fools. There's no question, anymore. Have a great night.
