hi guy very rarely do i have something negative to say about some one.. but here we go.. I originally purchased the following item on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261517996631&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 back on july 05th 2014, a few days later on the 9th he says , "Dear kaosleeroy108,Just wondering when I can expect payment on the coins. If there's a problem, please let me know rather than not contacting me. Thanks. - scpcoins" I kindly asked the seller if he could wait 2 weeks for payment.. he then replys " Dear kaosleeroy108, yeah that's not going to work. A seller cant wait that long for payment. As an experienced ebayer you know this. I'm going to cancel the transaction . Please don't delay in accepting the cancelation. - scpcoins " he said about 9 days later I asked him if he still had the items that I can pay for it.. From: scpcoins Sent: Jul-18-14 02:32 PM Dear kaosleeroy108, Seriously? You'd like to pay today but need a few days? You should have received a message from eBay that the transaction was canceled. I have re-listed the coins. Bid on them again if you want but please understand that I WILL NOT wait 2 weeks for payment. I'm sorry if this seems harsh but understand this is how eBay works. Same or next day is when 99.9% of sellers expect payment. Thanks - scpcoins the same day he emails me the following no more than a few mins apart " Dear kaosleeroy108, I've re listed the coins so you'll have to bid. - scpcoins" ok now me being the badass I am say ok this is a cool thing chance.. I bid and win the relisted lot a few days later which is on the 24th on the 25th I post payment to him via paypal.. I email him and ask when he will ship this over the weekend he replys Dear kaosleeroy108, Sorry for the delay in responding, I unfortunately had to refund your payment on this transaction. I was at a coin show and traded the coins and didn't have enough time to cancel the auction. I apologize for the mistake. I thought I could cancel auction in time. Thanks for understanding. - scpcoins Click "respond" to reply through Messages, or go to your email to reply From: kaosleeroy108 To: scpcoins Subject: kaosleeroy108 has sent a question about item #261535436919, that ended on Jul-24-14 16:00:24 PDT - Lot of 3 - 1909 VDB Lincoln Cents all NGC MS63RB - Nice! Sent Date: Jul-27-14 19:13:38 PDT Dear scpcoins, I thank you for this opportunity to own this piece of history. do you know when you will ship this item? .. - kaosleeroy108 Lot of 3 - 1909 VDB Lincoln Cents all NGC MS63RB - Nice! Item Id: 2615354369 now originally I won the lot for 131.65 the first time on the 2nd time around i wont the lot for 69.14 now the way I see it is that this seller either has the items and wants to keep them to resell later date or sold them when he blatantly knew he had them listed on ebay...cause the sold below his ideal sell price.. to me its bad business and I reported him...
I would have told him off the bat that I couldn't pay for coins for a couple of weeks. But it sucks that he sold the coins out from under you.
Frankly, I think you both have some issues to correct. I don't leave sellers hanging if I won't be paying within 24 hours of auction's end. If I wish to leave bids when I travel away from the office, I ask the seller if delayed payment is acceptable before doing so. I'm not defending the seller . . . just letting you know that what you did is also not okay.
I think you should let sleeping dogs lie. No use getting upset over misunderstandings on both your parts.
well I originally asked him for a few days more time he canceled the auction then tells me to rebid on the item , I then win new /the relised auction.. and he claims he sold the item at a show 3-4 days when he knew he had it listed on ebay an I paid on time.. so I think its
Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems all the later issues could have been avoided if the original payment had simply been made in a timely manner. It appears that he waited four days after the listing ended to contact you, and at that point you requested two more weeks; a day or two is reasonable, but that's excessive and is something that should have been discussed prior to bidding.
Well, since you didn't pay the first time, you cannot expect him to hold on to the coins for you a second time.
if the item sells on the 24 the next day you receive payment which is the 25th .. your own policy states you ship next business day..
dude I paid the next business day.. which was Friday...so the item was already paid for the very next day,..
over the weekend you (he) knew the item was paid for.. he then sends me an email today saying he sold it.. I think the guy is full of crap.
no no your not getting it.. that first auction was canceled then he relisted the item then told me to rebid if I wanted it..
So let me get this straight... you're totally dismissing the earlier bid and non-payment issue, and instead focusing only on the second go-round? Maybe he sold it and maybe he didn't, but all this should be a non issue since you were the cause of the problem from the start; not him. Those living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones....
kaosleeroy108 no no you're not getting it. Just what a Ebay seller wants, a bunch of buyers that bid without asking if it's okay to wait 2 weeks for payment. If you can't pay for an item in 48 hours, don't bid! btw I have over 1,000 transactions on Ebay and always pay within minutes of closing time. If it closes late at night, I pay the next day. I just put you on my Ebay blocked bidders list.
