There's the understatement of the year. lol According to you, PCGS has mis-graded 28,687,845 coins as of right now. Minus the 5 you agreed with.
Everyone is testy around here lately, reminds me of the PCGS forums. OH shoot, that comment just got me banned from PCGS forums... Oh well...
I still can't see it. I guess PCGS gets the benefit of the doubt because, maybe, just maybe someone washed Kennedy's hair and stuck a Q-tip in his ear, but, I can't confirm that without holding the coin.
Not so at all. There have been a great many TPG graded coins where I agreed with the grade. For that matter, some years ago there were a great many raw coins posted right here on this forum, and others, where I gave my opinion of the grade, and when submitted the TPG graded them just as I had. And often, I was the sole person on the forum whose grade matched up with that of the TPG. What I am trying to get across to you, and others, is that there was a time when I agreed with the vast majority of grades assigned by the TPGs. But that time has passed because the TPGs have loosened their grading standards so much. You see, I haven't changed my grading standards, they have.
GBROKE: Crack them out and Get a well known coin dealer to submit them for you. One that's a PCGS Authorized Dealer that you know and trust. You'll have much better results.
SEGS grades Jefferson Nickels even more conservatively. I ought to post my submissions. You'd be blown away with their low grades given.
Do it. Then maybe folks will see that the only TPG that should really be avoided is SGS and some of those other garage slabbers.
No. I appreciate Microsoft as well. It's always easy to diss the big player on the block. Don't get me started with Apple. They've come a long way, but are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Had they been willing to license their PC technology years ago like IBM, things might have been different for them.
I just think Microsoft is the high-maintenance girlfriend that's not really worth the money. Doesn't put out enough, for the time you put in.
!9Lyds is correct about the submissions. The problem is he should not be but the appearance is being given that the PCGS dealers would not send in questionable coins.
