This is getting a lot out if hand this is no more self promotion then you do all the time in fact less. There's no links to ebay or a website granted she's a dealer as are many of us here. She's just showing off a great coin which obviously you don't care for. It's no more self promotion then when I post my coins on various threads or anyone else here does. Next you'll say I'm self promoting too

You do not need 20/20 to have experience flying planes. For a second class medical, you do. For a third class, 20/40 is all you need. If all you have is "experience", but no license, you could be blind, and flying with a buddy. Are you licensed?

 

If having a link promoting your site is against the rules, please remove yours from your signature, which posts every single time you post.

No not yet I have 25 hours of flight time and I need 40. At 1 point I wanted to be a USAF Pilot and I was told you need 20/20 vision to do that.

Also if you ever read the rules you would know that my signature does not count as self promotion. That's why a lot of people do it.

Next while Amanda is not selling anything on here site she is still promoting her site. That is self promotion.
If I made a thread that said "hey check out this new coin that came in. go to x domain and look at it. That would be self promotion. If I said look at this cool new coin and posted pictures then that is not self promotion It is starting an interesting discussion on a beautiful coin I just bought.

If I named a price tag and linked to the listing on my site in that post that would be self promotion.
If I did the same thing but in a for sale listing that would be ok.

 

Did you read her first post? Like I said earlier she can self promote all she wants, Im fine with it. She should own it, instead of making a lame thread to get people to her site.

Oy vey... This forum is full of self promotion in all different forms, so if you're going to call one person out, for the sake of fairness you had better start calling every other possible offender out too. Or, and I know I'm talking crazy here... you could just let the mods do their jobs.

It's a nice coin for sure, but I do somewhat agree with bkozak's point that a thread in the Coin Chat subforum should feature more than just a link to a member's site. I have no problem with somebody posting a link, but I think it should be coupled with some actual content. In this case, it would have been interesting to get a bit of background on the coin - i.e. where/how it was acquired, approximate value, etc.

 

A lot of self-righteous, pompous, arrogant, jealous, etc. people on this forum, jeez. If you don't like something, then listen to Officer Barbrady and "Move along people, nothing to see here". Beautiful proof Morgan Amanda.
