It's cleaned, see if you can get it for melt. Now that I really look at it, I believe in the PCGS slab, it shows as very harshly cleaned. 10% below melt.

Well, I am hoping for a numeric grade, but lets keep it at MS66 so I only have to pay you $150.00

Well considering I'll have to send it in 10 times, I'll already be in the hole $350 lol.

On the link above, under “Steps For submitting Coins”, we use Number 2 “PCGS Submission Form (PDF)”.

Again, we always try to submit at least 5 coins, really at least 8 so we can dollar cost average the $8 application fee over the total amount. If you only sent in 4 or less coins, they are returned in just a hard cardboard envelope but 5 or more coins gets you a blue plastic PCGS box. The plastic boxes aren’t much but they do hold twenty slabs each and stack up neatly plus it is nice to get something for that $8 application fee.

It might not be a bad idea to store the coin in a “Taco Bell” napkin for a few months to darken it up a little before re – submitting it for grading. Don’t sell yourself and your coin short, we have a 1971-D Kennedy graded by PCGS at MS67+ and it has more hits on it then the pictures of your 64-D

What a great business model, disappoint your customer so they'll pay you over and over until they're happy. How can I make my business work that way?

I don't know. You might ask Microsoft...they've been doing it for years.

There is no happy medium. We'd get upset if they gave everybody MS-67's and MS-68's like the lesser TPGs.

As for Microsoft, only gluttons for punishment remain, the rest of us have Macs. ;)

If I didn't spend everything on coins maybe I could afford a Mac . I'll just have to settle for my iPhone .

So much for PCGS being the top dog.

In all fairness, the tpg's are a little more lenient on the classic silver coins when it comes to old cleanings.

I knew this had a chance at QC, but I was definitely leaning toward acceptable.
*I do not feel this was in anyway artificially toned, just not market acceptable.

    That's a beautiful coin.

I agree. I use it for my desktop wallpaper. That means a lot coming from a nickel guy!

I think Windows 8 is pretty great. it is the most secure os.

100% agree. 8.1 is better than 8, and fixes many things I hated about 8.0, but it's still utter crap compared to Windows 7.

I have tried to like 8 since beta (Consumer Preview), and I just can't. I have installed and uninstalled every version since then. I have a dev pc just for this purpose.

I will say, I run windows 8.1 on my phone and love it there. So tablets and phones make sense with the titled interface, but on a desktop, its terrible. Windows 9 will be out in early 2015, so at least you have that to look forward to.
