What's this now? You guys are posting proof trade dollars and I wasn't notified? Just kidding of course, I've been away for a while, but I picked up a short run of raw proof trades a couple of weeks ago. They are on their way to PCGS for grading, but they are not very high grade. Of the six, I'm expecting four PR-63 (one with a cam designation if I'm lucky) one PR-64 and one PR-65 cam. The one (78) is really nice and is covered with a vivid rainbow. I'll get some images up as soon as I get them back. Nice to see you guys again.
Only some crappy raw low grade proof trades?!! I bet there's a low grade 84 or 85 or both in the mix i do love the trades especially in proof I got a couple now eventually working on the full run too many coins I like too little money
Well there was an 85, but it was only a PR-61 so I drilled a 1/4" hole in it and wear it on a chain. No need to waste money on grading that lowball.
Didn't realize these were "trade dollars," but I love the Maria Theresa Thalers because you can get a really nice coin for peanuts.
How many proofs do you have now . I still haven't got one . Maybe now that the kid is done with school I can afford one , but probably not with such beautiful toning .
This makes 3 my highest grade pf-64 and the only one with spectacular color I have an 1882 and an 1877 hoping to eventually have em all
I won't ask you how much it cost , but the coloring must have really boosted the price . It's a beauty anyone should be proud to own . Will you take a brand new 20 dollar bill for it .
I don't mind it was just barely shy of 4k with the premium I'm figuring it at $4k with shipping it sold last at ha in 2001 for $3450 there was an 1883 in 64 with nice but not as spectacular color I liked too was my second choice if for some reason I didn't get this but I had my heart set on this one and was willing to pay a good premium for the color I'm just glad I could afford it!! As to your $20 offer it'd take more then a couple $20s and they'd need to be gold
I haven't seen in hand yet but is in my top 3 favorite coins I own along with my 1795 flowing hair dollar and my 1794 s-61 large cent
