Who is still waiting on HOF Coins?

I keep hearing they're having trouble minting them due to the unusual design...

So I called the mint today and was told the new ship date is July 17th well I won't hold my breath.

 

Unfortunately, they are probably just waiting for returns to send out now.

 

I finally got my silver proof HOF over the weekend. It is a nice looking coin. It looks like the market value has come down and they are now selling for about $100 on the bay.

 

UPS just delivered my gold proof ordered 3/28 at 10am. I have not opened it yet, and may just wait another 3+ months to do so.

 

Still waiting for delivery of the 2 CnClad Uncirculated Half Dollars which were shipped on 6/29/2014.

 

Just got my proof gold today, too. Ordered it at 11pm on 3-27-2014.
I'm going to have my wife wrap it up with some left over Xmas paper and surprise me at Xmas.

Still waiting on the gold UNC that was supposed to ship June 30th ????

 

I see people commenting about 2-3 and now 4 month waits but at least they do not process your credit card until they are about to ship them out. You should feel fortunate to be in line for the Gold HOF coins as many missed out even with online capabilities .
I ordered some extra silver dollar proof and unc hof coins thinking they will be great stocking stuffers for the grand kids . So as long as we get them before xmas we will be very pleased . I had a guy on my mail route get his 4 coins today via UPS and USPS 2 Gold via UPS 2 Silver via me USPS .I have all 4 already and I was envious
I might make 1 quick comment its amazing how a fool and his money are soon parted . Ebay spiked up like the Nasdaq in 1999- 2000 on HOF coins and now they are in a free fall .

 

That is exactly why many are upset with the wait.

 

But, the sell-out and subsequent delay was the reason for the spike. Now that there are more out there the price on ebay is falling. Had they filled orders quickly the spike wouldn't have happened in the first place.

 

True, but there are some that will not be convinced of that.

 

That's what I'm thinking.........so do I cancel now or wait to see what they sent Hmmmm...I'll wait

 

Wouldn't it be a novel idea to have an ordering window, and THEN mint the coins to the orders and ship once ALL are made. Charge the cards a couple of days before shipping, and then everyone gets their coins within just a few days of one another instead of strung out like this.

Also no product releases until the orders are ready to ship for everyone.

Seems simple enough to me.

 

Unfortunately, that's too complicated for the Mint.

 

For the Gold Coins?

I don't really think so since the after market is fairly brisk on these coins which sell well above issue price. Only a fool would retu................never mind, the market is full of fools.

 

I love to stir the pot .I am happy for those in the forum who have received all of their orders . I believe with only 50k total of the H.O.F gold coins soon to be finally shipped all out from the mint we will see a slow rise back over $750.00 - $800.00 on the ungraded sealed gold hof coins . I do not see anyone returning the Gold hall of fame coins as well . If they do call the . Once in the real collectors hands their will be a very limited supply .

 

I was referring to the silver coins. I am guessing that all the gold has been delivered or that there are just a few stragglers left to be delivered. Once the cancellation notices go out, watch the prices go back up on eBay.
