Here are the 1947 PDS coins for my toner Washington 1940 - 1964 Dansco set. This is meant to be a fun inexpensive project, so I'm looking for nice but not killer (expensive) coins for the date/mm. IMO the P mint here could have been in a mint set, and then was at some point in a roll, hence the reverse linear features. The D was most likely in an envelope, and the S was most likely in an album. The images are by Bob Campbell and I think he did an excellent job.
An appropriate obverse design for a coin that could be issued in 2026 for the 250th anniversary of Independence.
@gijoe76 coin Here is a quick shot of this, I hear @robec is going to get to photograph this beauty at some point. My pics will be the understudy. The deal with CAC and MS67 lincolns in NGC plastic is that they have to be absolutely radiant with luster. A clean mark-free coin is not enough. I think I have finally learned this lesson. Many NGC MS67 1C just dont CAC for this reason. I think it has less to do with RED coins becoming RB over time, for instance, in the old FATTY holders. I have sent alot of Lincolns in for myself and others, and very clean and red looking coins have failed. The ones that explode with luster seem to pass.
Not new to me but the green bean is some colorful fireworks for the 4th as it's pouring and I'm gonna wait to tomorrow to let my inner pyro free I got a mountain of em to touch off
