Who is still waiting on HOF Coins?

Had the mind been reading forums like this, they would have cleaned up their act a long time ago. Yours is a statement that should be sent to the mint directly.

Believe me I have tried, but they are not open to feedback. Their surveys are stilted marketing demographic collecting oriented dreck, they have no interactive blog the way mints like Perth Mint have to communicate directly with their customers and the representatives sent to coin shows are PR mouthpieces. I've written to elected officials and urged them to pass along the message of Mint-to-customer expectations and dissatisfaction in the past, but you know what a black hole that can be. That's why I urge in the public forum among the collectors and customers who have the power to vote with their wallets to reject the offerings from the Mint as the best way to send a message. I appreciate your support Rick, thank you for talking about it with me.

 

I'm just as frustrated with the mint. They swear to high heaven that they adhere to a first in, first out method of filling orders, but through participation here and on other forums (and personal experience), I find that their FIFO is the biggest crock of (insert your favorite disgusting substance here) anyone has ever tried to foist upon the public.

 

While I'd rather receive my orders sooner than later, I am not heartbroken that I haven't gotten them yet. I understood going into this that the mint is bad on shipping promptly and it won't ruin this for me.

Now if they end up cancelling any of my orders after all this time, that would upset me, but the delays I can live with. Not my preferred outcome, but liveable.

FINALLY, the Silver dollar UNC is shipping on the 18th. I will provide pics of all of my HOF coins when that arrives--better late than never!!

 

I received my Silver proof yesterday. I'll just say I'm mildly disappointed. The coin is in perfect condition, but I'm a little underwhelmed at the design. Originally, I thought it was clever, but IMO, there are not enough mirror surfaces in the design to make it really pop.

 

Maybe mine are getting closer then. I ordered just before noon on 3/28 and mine have shown shipping on 6/30 for quite a while. No changes yet, and the cancel boxes are still there.

My 1st day order for 10 Uncs finally got charged today. I think it will probably be another week for my 10 proofs to be charged, as they were ordered on April 6th.

 

Update: My card has actually been charged for the proof half dollar. Only took 3 months!

 

My orders for silver proofs actually moved up again on the Mint website from late July to now 6/16 (how the heck??? via time travel???). However I also got an email from the Mint saying they were backordered with both sets having due dates in mid-late August. My gold order says it's now backordered to 7/22. Their computers are definitely messed up.

 

Just got a similar email regarding backorders - moved from June to first and second week of August. I guess it's somewhat reassuring that they got around to re-scheduling.
