    I just hope it won't turn in to all black it still has the blue and greenish tone.

    Hey Steve,

    I just found a friend for my nickel dollar error struck on a 50-cent planchet. I just picked up a 1980 nickel dollar struck on a 25-cent planchet, from the Moore Legacy auction. Scroll down to the bottom of the thread in the error section:

    bought this 1965 "pretty Lady" off gbroke. I love it:

    I believe the obverse die varities are on the '65 Dollar not on the Fifty cent; at least not that I'm aware of.

    Was just flipping through a variety book, looks like the 1965 cent (sm/lg beads, ptd/blunt 5), Nickel (sm/lg beads), Dime (ptd/round 5) & Dollar (as above per jello's post) all have identified varieties.....maybe the 50 & 25 cent are still to be discovered.....
