Roll from BofA a few weeks back. Second coin in was the 1955-s then I found these two Woodies. For me, being fairly new to this, I think this was a very cool roll! So, what do you guys think?
Those are indeed cool finds. The later dated woodies were a lot tougher to find, especially for those dates in the eighties. They had better and more even alloy mixes by then.
Cool thank you guys! I didn't know that about the woodies. So you think they are in good shape as well? I guess it was a gd rolll!!!! I was sure hoping the 1955 was going to be the dbld one, but I was happy either way.
i used to come across some that looked like that but never kept them did no what they were ,,nice s1955
Ok don't LAUGH What is the "s?" San Francisco mint I thought. They are on all of my proof coins, but that was not a proof was it?
It is San Francisco. San Francisco struck non proofs before the 70s. They make some NIFC quarter rolls that aren't proofs today as well.
Today I purchased $5.00 worth of (pennies) one cent coins. I found my usual 20 % of copper cents ($1.00). But today in two rolls I found 2 dimes. Now the bank blacks out the account numbers, so I guess they are mine for the next trip to the bank to get more cents.
Hahaaa yep, the same has happened with me from two rolls at B of A. Kinda feel a bit guilty LoL. In fact when I eventually go back to that B of A I will ask them about it
Wait you feel bad about possibly taking advantage of a bank, THIS bank, no less, over $.18 I wonder what these people think of Bank of America: http://www.naplesnews.com/news/local-news/tables-turned-bank-of-america-foreclosure-case http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/30/bank-of-america-foreclosure_n_802861.html http://www.propublica.org/article/bank-errors-continue-to-cause-wrongful-foreclosures Bank of America might be the worst banking institution in the history of banks. I seriously thought they were going to be shut down at one point as many people were fleeing the big banks for credit unions. Dont feel bad towards them. With predatory lending practices, mistaken foreclosures, and a slew of other hassles that come along with this outfit, I would feel anything but upset that I made off with $.18 from them.
Well I don't like banks at alll, but honesty is my policy. When I go back in a week, I will let the teller know. It will be interesting to see what he or she says. I will let ya all know! As to feeling bad it definitely was not for the bank! LOL
So once again went to my local bank picked up 10 rolls of cents. I once again found a dime in the middle of a roll. I also found a 1955 cent and a "poor man's" double die cent. Also I found my usual $1.00 in copper cents. I really wonder when they will let us melt some copper cents.
Not for awhile. It wouldn't be worth the time/money for you do to it anyways unless you had TONS of them...FYI...
The bank almost certainly took in that roll as $0.50, not $0.68. They wouldn't know how to account for the extra 18 cents! Rob
