Hello, one and all! I just got back from week one of the ANA's Summer Seminar, and as usual tried to keep tabs on things so that I might share with everyone! There are a ton of pics, and I even included my notes from Intermediate Coin Grading in the hopes that it may help someone else out there. Please take a look, and let me know what you think!
great write up. OMG you know someone I know/knew from St. George ,Utah from his pic "Steve in action" he used to work for thee only coin shop here in St. George,Utah known as Allgood coin.. now I think he works at PCGS making $100K +. would you by chance know his e-mail address ? if so I would like it from you. looks like you had fun there. thanks for the coin pics.
Yep, fun and education mixed together. I took beginning and intermediate grading 2 years ago. Being there 2 weeks was stretching it a bit for me.
Thanks guys! I wish I could have managed to take better pics inside the "Bass Vault", but that just wasn't going to happen. :-/
I was hoping those notes would help someone out there, even just a little. As I said, I wrote down nearly everything they said whether it was new to me or not. Those two are fonts of numismatic wisdom, so I had to share!
Unfortunately not ... The farthest I ventured from the campus was the 2 miles to downtown Colorado Springs. The ANA offers a trip on the Pikes Peak railway thing, and while I hear it's stunning beautiful it's also 3 hours each way! So I skipped it. [emoji53]
If you're out there again sometime, you should at least drive through Garden of the Gods. It's quite easy to get to and free as well. Pikes Peak is worth the trip but it does require a longer commitment. In any case, I did enjoy your write-up on your blog.
