While the wording could have been better, it is not an unreasonable request. I doubt he was saying this just to be mean or upset you, but did so in an attempt to protect his property. Ask yourself this: without tracking, if the coin didn't show up, how would he know that you really had sent it? Should he just take your word? Being as he did refund you once the coin was back in his possession, this should tell you something. The guy probably didn't know if you were trying to scam him (your tone surely didn't help things along) and was simply looking out for his interests.

Please, Coins.... the seller isn't here and he isn't the one making accusations; you are, so the burden of proof rests upon you.

i should note that i have mentioned several times that the seller did not want to refund. and by the way, the seller had no choice about the refund, ebay would have issued a refund even if the seller did not agree. the seller knows that. as for the seller getting the item back. i made a point of telling the seller not to refund the money until after they received the coin. to assure them that they would in fact receive their coin back. that is when they started to get mad.

again. why do you and the others keep defending this seller and other sellers? what is in it for you? if you really believe that this seller is honest, that i don't understand.

okay. then i could say to everybody on here: that the burden of proof rests on them for all of the things that they have said about my comments. fair enough?

Perhaps it's because he is not here to defend himself and/or some are simply playing devil's advocate. It's not that anyone is blindly defending him as there is certainly nothing personal in it for any of us.

There just seems to be no happy medium here; everything is always so one-sided with the other guy being the bad one or the crook. Maybe he is as I honestly don't know, but there is another old saying that fits well here: "it takes two to tango".
