Is there something going on with the D here? (if so what) or just damage?

    Thanks. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403275609.953539.jpg

It's not damage, it's a die chip....very common and not worth any premium.

It could be a die crack, but I'm leaning toward PMD. Note how the ray is pushed to the left.

Can't be a die chip. A die chip creates a hole/depression in the face of the die which would have resulted in a bump next to the normal size D, not a reduction in the size of the D.

    That's just post mint damage.

It has also pulled the bottom of the D apart. I have never seen that before. It's such a clean break. No distortion.

Didn't pull it apart, that's just a contact mark, a hit, on the bottom of the D.
