Really, where have you been? There seem to be 5 to 10 active people in each of those forums. I'm sure we're where it's at. We just have to figure out what the it is.

The margins here appear to force everything to stack vertically too much and the font seems too large and chunky. I prefer the banknote area.

Why would anyone want to waste their browser window space on margins? Use (maximize) the space allotted on someones view screen for your website to fill with your content. Intentionally broadcasting useless empty space, really? Fill up the window you are allotted and let the user adjust it to his liking.

Do people even collect those anymore? I mean, there used to be lots of shows with cards and stamps and I haven't seen anything for those in about 15 years or more.

Oh yeah, most of the posts are old on the banknote forum.

Here is how stupid the new deal looks on my screen. The right column should be re-sizeable, let alone smaller to start. The margins should not exist at all. Etc.

Peter, I don't know what others are seeing, but I'm currently posting on a 14"+ wide screen, and I can only view .6 inch wide of the post at a time. A 6 letter wordrequires 2 lines. I had to scrolldownmore than 4 pagesto read your post. I agreewith AWORD, why would someone wastecritical viewing space? 8" of my screen is dead space. I can't respond to the questions, but trust this expresses my thoughts on what I consider insanity. I have checked 3 of my computers with different O.S. and browsers, all having similar results for reading or respondingto the posts. My 16" wide screen (20" monitor) allowed 2.25"of the posts. I've adjusted resolution to view the maximum, and 2

I'm now realizing that viewers are seeing these posts on different monitoring devices, as I had never gone to the "BankNote Forum", and upon visiting that site with a 20" monitor having a 3:4 aspect ratio, I viewed what I would consider the optimum screen imagewith no margins, correct color balance, and a perfect ASCME Font.My 16:9 display doesn't produce the same quality image. It appears that a happy viewing balance may be virtually impossiblewith current viewing devices beinggenerated for viewing as a bookpage presentation. The BankNote site must have a monitor sensing capability, as I haven't yet seen a post where anyone objected to their viewing of that site data. JMHO

Peter, Thanks for your insite of what some (you?) are seeing, but some of us are not able to view that image which you see. If you look at Ed Sims post #23, he and I are seeing similar information. I have described his image in my previous post, where the post text is a very thin strip, covering ~10% of the screen on a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor, and ~4% of the screen on a 16:9 aspect ratio monitor. I have identical resolution settings on all my monitors, regardless of O.S. or browsers, having seen similar images on all devices until a recent "adjustment. All I knowis that although I had nevervisited previously visited the other site, upon visiting that site, the imagecompletely filled my screen. My post was just technical hypothesis, and I'll admitfallibility, and defer to your absolute knowledgeof the program setting differences.I've just explained what was seen by the samemonitor sequentiallyviewing 2 sites without any monitor adjustments.betweenswitching.
