    Well, although I hit-on quite a few chicks at today's auction, I could only manage to score one hot lookin' older broad ... but I think that she has some pretty sweet eye-appeal, yes?

    Faustina Senior. Augusta, AR Denarius
    138-140/1 AD
    Rome mint
    Diameter: 17 mm
    Weight: 3.07 grams
    Obverse: Draped bust right
    Reverse: Draped throne; transverse scepter resting against arm, peacock with spread tail standing to right below
    Reference: RIC III 339a (Pius); RSC 219
    Other: toned, a couple of light marks

    Yes, great coin Steve! The portrait is very distinctive, with great detail in the coiffure, and the peacock is magnificent. Two thumbs up!

    Obv: Draped bust of Faustina Senior facing right. DIVA FAUSTINA
    Reverse: Pietas standing sacrificing at altar AVGVSTA
    Grade: gVF or aEF coin that is sharp & clear even at the points of highest
    relief on Faustina’s bust.
    Other: Faustina Sr. was the wife of Antoninus Pius & died in 141 AD.

    (Malachite is a green-color copper carbonate mineral).

    Glad I can finally post again, darn board.

    Anyways, nice buy. Its a lifetime issue too which is a tad scarcer then the normal DIVA issues.

    My lifetime issue and most here know its special cause of the reverse & rare.

    If you dont, peacock is on the seat of the throne and is acting like king shi* while the more common like the OP is under it.
