This 2010 Lincoln has the color of an old coin, other then that is in gd shape. Is it missing the electro platting? Or is it just one of those things with copper wear and tear? IMG_0103.JPG IMG_0107.JPG

Of course; the composition of the cent as a whole may only be 2.5% copper, but think about where it's all located.

I always wondered why these corrode so badly . I mean like Books said it's plated with copper so I'd think it would behave like any old cent .

Yes, but the plating is 100% copper.

Actually, I think it is a very pretty coin. The zincolns usually get very ugly as they age. This one has a nice uniform brown. I don't know how deep the scratches on the shoulder are, but they show copper. Any chance its minted on a leftover blank from the bronze 2009's ? Probably not based on the lower reverse, but if I'd found it would have gone right onto the balance.

Most likely, no. Weigh it to be sure. A copper coin would weigh 3.11 grams and a zinc coin will weigh 2.5 grams.
