I bought a couple of coins to add to the collection. Hadrian Semis, Egypt, Aurelian Tetradrachm,Roman Empire Antoninus Pius Brass Sestertius
Nice additions! I particularly like that Aurelian tetradrachm - for some reason, it's very difficult to find late Roman-Alexandrian tets in nice condition. Yours is about the best I've seen!
Thanks. I am looking for a Legion Denarius coin. They seem to be quite expensive. But I will keep looking. I also love the Janis coins.
Great coins. I have the same Tetradrachm Aurelian (270 - 275 A.D.) Egypt, Alexandria Potin Tetradrachm O: A K Λ ΔOM AVΡHΛIANOC CEB, Laureate and cuirassed bust right. R: Eagle standing right on wreath, head turned left; star above right, L D right. Dated RY 4 (272/3 AD) 11.25g 21mm Köln 3076; Dattari 5492; Milne 4398 var. (no star); Emmett 3933 var. (same)
Thanks yours looks great. I don't have to have a Mark Antony just a nice example of a legionnaire coin that would have been in the pocket of a soldier.
