Those are both incredible. I agree with you, the 1813 2R would be my favorite too!

I just won this last night. It will be the rarest in my collection once it arrives:

Bolivia 1883PTS "EF" 20 Centavos. NGC and Krause lost as 3-5 known.

OK guys, I like all the above, and agree S. & Central American coins are generally undervalued. Here is what I can contribute.

Your Bolivian coin is most certainly a rarity. However, I would not take the Krause population seriously. For example my 1829 Guatemala real the Krause book has listed as only 4 examples known for several editions, even as more have come to market. There are are least 12 in various auction records, plus I know of one collector that has 3 of them that are unknown to the market, plus mine. I would assume at least 50 confirmable pieces. Most likely the same for your coin. If Krause population was realistic, both of our coins would be up in the five figure value range

... and a 1 Peso piece from 9 years later (after they'd figured out a republic really shouldn't be issuing Reales (Royals) MX1Peso1898GoLibertad_1200x614.jpg

Numismat, Wow, thanks for the info! I only paid $250.00 for the 20C which seemed awful cheap for a coin with such a low population. Makes sense.

I love the Chilean Peso's. They are unique and the typeset on the obv looks almost German. These are quickly becoming my new must have coins!

My favorite South American coin is from the 18th century. Hope that's okay.
