I thought this was a funny thread. Did you know Siberian Man your thread would be read completely differently by people living in the US than you intended? "American" anything to us only refers to the United States in our minds. Yes, I know its wrong, and our friends in Central and South America resent it, since they all live in the Americas as well. Its just the way the word is used here to differentiate us from Canadian and Mexican neighbors. They are Canadian and Mexican, we are Americans.
and we are "Latinos". Well, excluding me, but including my daughter. Please, lets see some more coins from Latin America.
Then again, as we all know, the US is not part of the "World" here. So this should not really be confusing ... Christian
But that is what made it even MORE confusing. Reading a thread called, "American coins ....." in the World and Ancient section was even more bewildering. Btw, yes, some of us do realize how provincial the view is of the typical American both in collecting habits and world outlook. It relaly is shame, but it is what it is I suppose.
you should also say "hallo" to the girls/women that collect coins too. I will post my central and south American coins when I get home from work tonight at 1:30am.
