Like some of the others, my collection has reached the point for US that $500 won't go far. I might be able to buy one of the more common 1794 large cent variety I need in Good for $500.
It would have been too easy to give people a "higher budget" . . . the $500 limit makes many think a little harder about what would satisfy them.
Probably another spectacular toned Morgan that or a nice high au trade dollar everything else I love cost far more then $500
As to the 1792 half disme I'd take one in any condition too is on the short list of most wanted coins I hope someday to have along with a small eagle half and quarter a Gobrecht dollar and my most wanted a 1794 dollar
I always liked the Oregon Trail half and Laura Fraser (reverse). So, I guess I'd go for one of those.
I'm only given $500 ? A Hawaiian, Gettysburg I can't have. At least not in the grades I'd like to procure. Settle on a stellar Elgin though........
