I picked this up the other day out of curiosity..! Im wondering what it may be, possibly a large cent blank?! It weighs 11.4 grams and the pictures below compare it to a quarter. What do you think it could be??

At 11.4g it's a little too heavy for a US large cent. However, it could definitely be a heavily used coin from another country or a token.

I have a few pieces that are similar. Mine were vending machine slugs. Not the kind used to steal stuff out of machines, but some sort of weight calibration slug. My parents owned a few vending businesses in the 70's. Today's machines are I'm sure digitally calibrated.

Blank, no. I can see writing on it from my phone, a laptop or desktop monitor should be enough to read it partially.

Even if it were a blank for a coin, you would have a hard time proving it to one of the grading services for authentication.

When I was searching a (sealed) $50 Mint bag of 1980 Lincoln cents, I came across a blank that had somehow escaped the upsetting mill, coining chamber and ended up in the bag. I submitted it to NGC for authentication, and they body-bagged it because I had no way of proving that it came from the bag.
