Another coin i've had for awhile now. I got it a few weeks later after my Victoria Crown. I liked the obverse portrait.

San Marino and Vatican City have really pretty coins. I believe they are mostly for tourists but I still like them.

Nice design - and what is also interesting is that this is the last year of the "old" San Marino coinage period. After 1938 they had a long break and did not get the right to mint lira-compatible coins back until 1972 ...

I really like this design! Very lovely coin -- and I like the San Marino coins in general because they are low mintage and mostly overlooked. ;)

I like anything and everything from the Rome mint struck during the 1920s or 1930s.

I like their coins from 1930s too. Here is an interesting couple from my collection.

I am glad that you enjoy these coins, Mat. Here is an "old" couple.

Img_1784.jpg Img_1785.jpg Img_1786.jpg Img_1787.jpg Fresh from the slabber. I first saw the MS63 on the 5 Lire and was really disappointed. I thought it was the nicer of the two and assumed it meant the 10 Lire was probably graded MS62. Imagine my surprise, then, when the 10 Lire came back in a MS64 holder. These were both purchased from Tim Yeager raw last fall.
