They look like flow lines to me. Die deterioration.

Flow lines ripple out from the center. These appear to be radiating.......

it stamped really well, high grade, and amazing it also has a full set of hair too, most of them are burned out, lines running through the hair

I originally said radial flow lines and then edited my post. It looks like this to me:

Coin aren't stamped, they are struck.

I agree with flow lines (which often goes hand-in-hand with die deterioration, as they are both the product of an aging die)...not worth sending to an expert IMO.

Still, if we were experiencing severe die erosion then why is the coin striking up so nicely?

Somewhat, yes, but not as strong as yours, and the presence of one does not indicate the presence of the other. On that coin, you can see extremely strong distortion and notching, the same cannot be said for your coin.

This image isn't perfect, but it doesn't have to be to tell the difference. I did this quickly. Ray Charles could tell the difference.

Rick, I just put an article on the CONECA website regarding the 2014 DDO. Take a look. This looks to me like die deterioration based on these pictures.
